Manufacturing Intelligence — From Shopfloor to Network in One View

Infoveave's manufacturing intelligence platform unifies MES, ERP, and shopfloor data so plant teams work from one live source for OEE, downtime, FTT, and plan variance — not separate exports that never agree.

  • OEE, throughput, and scrap rate defined once — every plant, line, and shift counts them the same way.
  • Downtime reason codes, quality defects, and production actuals in one place — not a spreadsheet someone emails between the shopfloor and the boardroom.
  • Ask Fovea why OEE dropped, which line is at risk, or where plan variance is building — plain answers, no dashboard tour.

Common Manufacturing Data & Visibility Challenges

Sound familiar? We hear these from plant managers, quality engineers, and ops leaders all the time

Disconnected MES and ERP data

Your MES says 920 units. Your ERP says 880. Finance and production can't agree which number to plan against — until the monthly close.

Downtime logged without reason codes

You find out a line stopped after the shift ends — with no structured reason, owner, or minutes lost for the daily production review.

OEE calculated in spreadsheets

Availability, performance, and quality still live in Excel files passed between plants — and nobody agrees on the formula.

No standard way to measure performance

Every plant counts OEE differently. Quality, maintenance, and production each have their own scorecard — and the network roll-up never reconciles.

Data you can't trust

Someone questions the numbers in every production meeting. Scrap rate, throughput, OEE — three versions, three owners, and decisions wait.

Too much data, too few answers

Plenty of dashboards, not enough answers — why OEE dropped, which line is at risk, or what drove yesterday's plan miss.

What a Manufacturing Intelligence Platform Must Deliver

You don't need another dashboard to stare at. You need shopfloor, quality, maintenance, and supply chain on the same live numbers — with a way to get answers when something shifts on the line.

OEE & shopfloor performance

Availability, performance, and quality on live MES and ERP data — with reason codes that hold up in the shift review, not a number someone retyped from a paper log.

Quality & first-time-through

FTT, scrap, and defects on one timeline — from the shopfloor capture through quality escalation, so rework doesn't hide how the line is really running.

Production planning & network alignment

Plan vs. actual, capacity, and inbound material tied to the schedule — plus supply chain visibility when a late delivery is about to stop the line.

AI that answers operational questions

Ask Fovea why OEE fell, which downtime pattern matters, or where plan variance is building — plain answers from the same data behind your dashboards.

What Manufacturers Can Do With Infoveave

Shopfloor integration through multi-plant KPI consistency — here's what Infoveave does at each step, and how the pieces fit together.

PLCs, SCADA, MES, ERP, WMS, supplier portals — manufacturing data is everywhere and rarely in sync. Infoveave pulls it into one live repository so production, quality, and finance stop arguing about whose export is right.

  • Connect SCADA, MES, ERP (SAP/Oracle), WMS, and supplier systems without custom ETL
  • Eliminate reconciliation gaps between plant-level, warehouse, and corporate reporting
  • Real-time sync of production actuals, downtime events, quality defects, and plan targets

The manufacturing KPIs your plant teams actually run on

Connect MES, ERP, and shopfloor data — then track OEE, throughput, downtime, FTT, and scrap rate without the Monday-morning export.

Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE)

The number most plant reviews start with — availability × performance × quality on production data you trust. Track by line, shift, and plant so network roll-ups add up without manual fixes.

OEE = Availability × Performance × Quality

Throughput

Good units per hour or shift. When MES and ERP disagree, this is usually the metric that kicks off the production meeting — so it helps to define it once and stick to it.

Throughput = Produced quantity / Time (hour or shift)

First Time Through (FTT)

Units that pass without rework. When FTT drops, you're often looking at setup problems, quality drift, or gaps in how defects get logged — fix those before scrap and claims pile up.

(Good units without rework / Total units started) × 100

Downtime Percentage

How much of scheduled time you lost to stops — planned or not. Pair it with solid reason codes so maintenance and kaizen teams focus on the losses that actually matter.

(Downtime minutes / Scheduled production time) × 100

Scrap Rate

Output thrown away because of quality failures. Scrap you catch late costs more — in material, OEE, and rework capacity — so track it by line and defect type once capture quality is solid.

(Scrap quantity / Total produced quantity) × 100

Cycle Time

How long one unit or batch takes end to end. When cycle time creeps up, bottlenecks, slow changeovers, or performance losses are usually already in motion — well before the monthly OEE review.

Cycle Time = Total production time / Units produced

Plan Attainment

Actual output vs. what you scheduled, by line and SKU. Low attainment with busy-looking utilization often points to bad plans, changeover drag, or missing materials — not just operator performance.

(Actual production / Planned production) × 100

Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF)

Average runtime between unplanned stops. Useful on maintenance scorecards when downtime is logged with consistent reason codes and timestamps from MES or nGauge.

MTBF = Total operating time / Number of failures

Activate Decisions

When something needs attention, your team knows. Maintenance alerts, downtime escalations, supplier risks — handled on data everyone trusts.

Shopfloor & OEE Analytics

Track availability, performance, and quality losses across lines and plants in real time. Tie downtime to reason codes and shift owners so OEE becomes a daily habit, not a monthly report.

Quality & First-Time-Through

Capture defects, rework, and scrap with structured forms. Track FTT by line, model, and shift — and route quality issues to the right people before they turn into customer claims.

Downtime & Maintenance Intelligence

Give downtime data a structure: consistent reason codes, loss-minute priorities, and a clear split between maintenance fixes and kaizen work. Connect machine health signals to predictive maintenance where the data supports it.

Production Planning & Variance

Compare plan vs. actual by line, SKU, and shift on live MES and ERP data. Catch schedule slips, capacity gaps, and backlog risk before you miss a customer commitment.

Supply Chain & Warehouse Visibility

See inbound raw materials, warehouse movements, and outbound orders alongside your production schedule. Know when a late supplier delivery is about to stop the line.

Multi-Plant KPI Governance

One definition of OEE, throughput, and scrap across every facility. Plant managers see their site; network leaders see the roll-up — with a clear trail from sensor or scan to the board report.

Stop reconciling. Start fixing what hurts OEE.
