Infoveave Data Automation — Email
Your inbox is a data source. Download Email turns it into a workflow input.
Suppliers send invoices by email. Partners deliver CSV reports as attachments. Internal systems send error logs to a monitored inbox. Manual handling of these email-based data deliveries is time-consuming and error-prone. Download Email connects to any IMAP email server and retrieves matching messages based on date range, read status, subject keywords, and sender address — extracting email metadata and content into a structured table that flows directly into the next pipeline step. No manual forwarding, downloading, or inbox monitoring required.
Connect to any IMAP mail server and download emails by date range, read status, subject keyword, or sender address inside your Infoveave workflow. Extract email content and attachments for automated processing — invoices, reports, alerts, and more.
Download Email is one step inside a multi-step Infoveave workflow. Chain it with other activities — no code, no manual hand-offs.

Real scenarios where this transformation saves hours of manual work.
Suppliers send PDF and Excel invoices to a monitored Accounts Payable inbox. A daily workflow uses Download Email filtered by the supplier domain and the keyword 'Invoice' in the subject, retrieving only unread messages from the past 24 hours. Attachments are passed to the Extract Text from PDF activity for data extraction and loaded into the AP system.
Each Monday, logistics partners send weekly performance reports as CSV attachments to a shared operations mailbox. Download Email retrieves these messages filtered by known sender addresses, passes CSV attachments to Read CSV Files, and produces a consolidated performance dashboard — replacing a manual download and copy-paste process.
A clinical lab integration workflow uses Download Email to retrieve lab system notification emails containing inline result data in the body. The forwarded email parsing option extracts the original sender and content from forwarded messages, feeding into an HL7 record transformation pipeline.

Key fields to configure in the Infoveave workflow builder. Full reference available in the documentation.
Connection
The registered IMAP email server connection. Configured in Infoveave Studio with server URL, port, and credentials. Works with any IMAP-compatible mail server.
Look up days
Number of days in the past to search for matching emails. For example, a value of 3 retrieves emails received in the last 3 days. Used with scheduled workflows to process emails since the last run.
Unread only
When enabled, only emails that are currently marked unread are retrieved. Useful for ensuring each email is processed exactly once — once read by Download Email, it is marked as read and excluded from the next run.
Forwarded emails
When enabled, the activity extracts the original sender, subject, and date from forwarded messages, rather than treating the forwarding address as the original sender. Used for workflows that process emails forwarded from another internal mailbox.
Subject contains
Comma-separated keywords. Only emails whose subject line contains at least one of the keywords will be retrieved. Case-insensitive matching.
From addresses
Comma-separated sender email addresses. Only emails sent from these addresses are retrieved. Used to scope the download to specific trusted senders.
